Polar Bears Raise £320.00 for WaterAid

A fantastic amount of £320 was raised by our Polar Bear children who were sponsored by family and friends to walk from our school to St Helen’s Church in the village of Brant Broughton, carrying their decorated containers full with water. The children had learnt about families in Africa and their struggles to get safe, drinkable water and in particular about a little boy called Yenus and his family life. All the sponsorship money raised has been donated to the charity WaterAid UK who help some of the world’s poorest and most marginalised families that do not have access to safe water to drink, clean toilet facilities and good hygiene to protect themselves. WaterAid UK are dedicated to digging wells and installing taps to help keep families healthy and safe, which will help to change the lives of children like Yenus so that they have the childhood they deserve. Really well done Polar Bears!
