Phonics

The more you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you will go.

At Brant Broughton we use the scheme Little Wandle to teach phonics.

For parents | Letters and Sounds

This programme provides children with a sound knowledge of the sounds (phonemes) which are the building blocks of reading and spelling. As part of the programme, children receive a reading book which they are taught to read at school. Children bring their reading books, as well as a 'reading for pleasure' book home each week to share with their family.
