At Brant Broughton listening to the voices of our pupils is extremely important to us. Every year each class elects their own pupil council representatives who meet together every fortnight with Mrs Bedford to discuss how everyone can contribute to making our school the best is can be.
We are the year group representatives on the pupil council this year. We will listen to you and put your ideas forward at our pupil council meetings. If you have any good ideas for the school or if you have any concerns or complaints let us know and we will discuss them at the next meeting.
Already this year we have written to the Nomad Trust in Lincoln to ask them what they would like us to bring to help the homeless in the city. We have collected tea towels, tinned meat, UHT milk and lots of other things they have asked for. We will deliver them as part of our Harvest celebrations and to show that we take our responsibilities to help others seriously.
We have also been helping Mrs Bedford and Mrs Burnett, Chair of Governors, to check that the school site is safe. We have been checking classrooms, corridors and the school grounds for anything that could be a danger and giving advice to our classes on ways to stay safe. Other projects this year, include helping to redesign our school badge and motto; considering how we can promote an anti-bullying message across school and ways of ensuring that we all stay safe online.
