School Lunch

Lunch is a time children enjoy together – whether a packed lunch or school dinner. Our school hall becomes our dining room where Foundation Stage & KS1 pupils are seated between 11.45 - 12.30pm and KS2 between 12.30 - 1.00pm.

Hot school lunch is cooked daily and delivered to school by our local caterer, Primary Lunches. All our meals meet new Government standards and are nutritionally analyzed. They can be ordered in advance on a daily or weekly basis. Children in Polar Bears and Leopards class in Reception, Y1 and Y2 are entitled to a free school meal as part of the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meal programme and we would encourage all parents in Foundation and Key Stage 1 to take advantage of this.  Those children in Key Stage 2 requiring a school dinner may pay weekly, however, termly payments can be made in advance and are preferred.  Hot lunch costs £2.40 per day.

This is what some of the children say about our hot lunches:

Packed lunches may also be brought – but no glass bottles, fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate please! A named packed lunch box would be extremely helpful and we ask parents to try to adhere to our Healthy School policy by providing a balanced packed lunch including fruit and avoiding saturated fat, salt & sugary processed foods.
